Tesla says the first Semi rolled off its new high-volume line in Nevada

Tesla says the first Semi has rolled off a new high-volume production line at Gigafactory Nevada, a notable step for a truck program that has spent years stuck between prototype hype and limited early deliveries.

The company shared the milestone through the official Tesla Semi account. Electrek notes that the small batch delivered to Pepsi in late 2022 came from a pilot setup, while the Nevada buildout was meant to be the real production backbone. In other words, this is the first sign Tesla may finally be moving beyond symbolic deliveries.

That matters because the Semi only becomes commercially relevant if Tesla can sustain output, not just showcase a single unit. Electrek also points to previously disclosed specs around 325-mile and 500-mile trims, pricing in roughly the $260,000 to $290,000 range, and a much larger long-term capacity target if the line ramps as planned.
