Ghirardelli says it is voluntarily recalling select powdered beverage mixes after a supplier flagged a potential salmonella risk in one of the ingredients used by a third-party manufacturer.
The affected products include multiple bulk drink mixes sold mainly through food-service channels, though some may also have reached online buyers. The company said there were no reported illnesses at the time of the notice and that its own testing did not identify contamination in the finished mixes.
Ghirardelli says it notified the FDA and is working with distributors and customers to pull affected inventory. Anyone who bought powdered beverage mixes from the brand should check the official recall list and lot details before using them.
